Until recently, the prototype components for products in development were manufactured on the same production line as commercial products. Today, Mincon’s prototype components are manufactured at a bespoke prototype factory for research and development. It’s at this facility where a highly experienced, full-time team has dedicated lathes and mills to rapidly develop high-quality components for all prototype work and once-off projects.
Although a prototype factory by designation, the facility isn’t limited to manufacturing components for testing. Mincon works closely with its customers around the world, taking their needs into consideration for ongoing development and manufacturing of specific components at the prototype factory. Located close to the Mincon’s headquarters in Shannon, the prototype factory benefits from the Group’s existing resources, such as a world-class heat-treatment plant and talented team of design engineers.
